Sew....

I haven't written in years (at least, it feels like it).

I'm working at Sylvan Learning Center and having fun. I get about 12 hours a week for now, but I should be getting more when summer starts. Oh summer, how I've missed you.

The weather here in Maine has been FABULOUS!

Scotty and I went for a drive on Saturday. In the morning he had fire training, but after we took a drive down to the coastal area and back home. We had ice cream along the way, which I love. And that also probably ruined the healthy lunch we had--subway. Well, mine was healthy (veggie delight) Scotty's wasn't (meatball sub).

I got out my sewing machine about a week and a half ago. I haven't had it out since we moved...over a year ago. Blah! But I've been making tote bags for grocery shopping and I made a burp cloth last night.

So right now I'm cleaning some cloth diapers, hoping that they're dingy-ness will go away with a good bleaching and a good washing/drying so I can use use them to make more burp cloths. I told Erin that I'd make her some. Then I looked into the cost of new cloth diapers and I was less than thrilled. So I dug out the old ones we had hanging around. I was disappointed in their dingy-ness, but hopeful (like I said) that a good bleach soaking and a good washing-drying will help them.

I'm on the second book of the Left Behind series. I wish I were actually reading more. But I did ask Erin to borrow some books.

I've become addicted to swap-bot.com. I'm swapping with people far and wide and I love it. Right now I'm sticking to light weight swaps because of the cost of postage. But it's still fun. I'm swapping fat quarters, sewing notions, sewing surprises, recipes and other crafty things.

And of course, I've been applying my brains out still. Hopefully a full time teaching job comes my way soon. Pray for that please.
